ABOUT THE PROJECT

4 sides, 1 winner.

Fresh Off The Block is an annual music competition looking for Singapore’s best new rappers and beatmakers. All 4 sides of Singapore split into North, South, East and West districts battle it out to see which rapper and beatmaker represent their district the best in this 5-part series.

PROJECT BRIEF

Partnering with YUNGTAUFOO in delivering this series, we had to give creative direction, create graphic assets and producing promo materials for social media. With the sponsor Tunecore supporting the show, there was also a need to find good placements for their brand. 

OUR APPROACH

Grunge style and neon colors were used to show the gritty realness of the music genre. Because the whole project revolved around social media promos, we used a 3×1 grid style for every announcement made on the page, thus fulfilling a big poster in the grand scheme of the grid layout. 

Promo videos were also created by mixing Behind-The-Scenes and official shots, accompanied by original music production and decorated with motion graphics. Check out the trailers below.
